Should I buy from the internet?
The Internet is a wonderful resource to research and narrow down your gown choices. However, we encourage you to purchase your dress from a local authorized full-service bridal salon. Doing so might help you avoid common pitfalls of bargain shopping for your big day. For example, if you order the gown without professional assistance from a local authorized dealer, you might encounter:
- An incorrect size/style
- Wrong or different dye lots
- Used gowns sold as new gown
- Defective garments/constructions
- Expensive shipping or alteration costs
- Lack of customer service such as swatch request and etc.
- Or worse…you may not receive your gown in time for your wedding!
Is saving a few dollar over the internet worthwhile?
You probably "save" some money when you purchase your gown over the internet, BUT you will still have to pay for shipping charges, alterations and pressing. Very often, what you purchased at a discount will end up costing you more than if you bought it full price through a full service bridal salon. Unfortunately, not all seamstresses are experienced with bridal gown alterations and this could be a disaster.
In most cases, you might ended up paying more money just to fix problems. As you might have already browsed and noticed many bridal companies have posted similar warning on their website. It's because we have heard so many bad stories and we want to forewarn you about the possible consequences when you order your gown online from a remote seller. After all, buying a wedding gown over the internet is not the same as buying a T-shirt over the internet. We want to make sure your gown-shopping experience is an enjoyable one for your big day!
